New Goblet

Haven’t been producing much lately as I’ve had a nasty head-cold. Just turned this goblet yesterday — it doesn’t even have a finish on it yet, just a seal-coat of thin shellac. This is Blackwood acacia, a new timber for me. I just got a nice batch of it, & it’s fun to turn. Even green it is really hard and allows very thin turning, although you can’t see that in the photo — I’ve still got some work to do getting my photography chops down. Will post more pics of this batch as I finish more pieces.
